Released July 15th, 2020, Minsk's divorce-themed EP Everything, Everything is a story that starts with the joy of marriage, explores the trauma of divorce, and ends with spiritual triumph—a testimony to God’s love in the face of disaster.
Everything, Everything is inspired by the Japanese practice of kintsugi, where pieces of broken pottery are put back together using melted gold. The purpose of kintsugi is not commercial, meaning one is not meant to break pottery for the purpose of creating kintsugi. Instead, the practice is used to salvage an item which is already loved by its owner--wedding china, a gift from a loved one, or something of similar value.
Kintsugi is meant to restore items which are much too precious to be thrown away and forgotten. The resulting piece is even more beautiful than the original, anointed by its gold ornament.
In the context of divorce, it is normal for a person to battle feelings of being discarded or damaged, like broken pottery. Everything, Everything explores this concept, along with the notion that none of us are too broken to be restored, and even exalted, by Yahweh.
Because He cherishes His creations, He is able to use spiritual kintsugi, transforming embarrassing cracks into gorgeous, golden decor. In Him, our weaknesses can truly become our strengths; instead of being covered with shame, we are able to reflect the radiance of His glory, and be put on display for all to see.
After all, some creations are much too treasured to be thrown away.
"EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING" - DIGITAL ALBUM DOWNLOAD
Downloads are available as WAV (16-44k1).
Step 1: Starting Your Download
You should see the purchased album in your browser with a "download" button next to it. Click "download." You will be prompted to either "save" or "open" the file. Select "save" and note the location of the saved file.
Step 2: Completing The Transfer
Once the download starts, it's important that it finishes in its entirety before attempting to open it. Full album downloads will be stored as a compressed .zip file which will need to be unzipped.
Step 3: Locating Files
Once the download is complete, you'll need to find the files that you've just downloaded. In Windows, most browsers will save files to the "downloads" folder which you can find inside "my documents." For Mac, the default destination is either the desktop, or the "downloads" folder under "My Computer." If the files aren't in those default locations, you can find the target location from that dialogue box that was discussed in the first step.Step 4: Extracting Files
Since you've bought and downloaded a full album, you'll need to extract or "unzip" the files before you can play, burn, or import them into your media player. The unzipping process will vary depending on what software you use to handle .zip files and what operating system you're using. In most cases, simply double-clicking on a file will begin extracting the contents. In some cases you'll be prompted to select a destination for the unzipped folder. Otherwise, it'll typically be unzipped to the same root folder as the original .zip file.
Step 5: Enjoy!
Once everything is saved and extracted, you can use your mp3s in any way you like. All digital downloads are DRM free and can be burned to disc, stored in your media library, or synced with your mobile mp3 player for you to take with you. For instructions on how to import your music to iTunes or other media players, please refer to the "Help" section listed within the media player software.
